Poverty affects millions of people in the UK. Poverty means not being able to heat your home, pay your rent, or buy the essentials for your children. It means waking up every day facing insecurity, uncertainty, and impossible decisions about money. It means facing marginalisation - and even discrimination - because of your financial circumstances. The constant stress it causes can lead to problems that deprive people of the chance to play a full part in society.

We operate a community food pantry in King Street, Stenhousemuir where local residents can join, and take advantage of a weekly shopping at a much reduced cost. We also operate a food bank where we take referrals from Falkirk Council and groups such as NHS Forth Valley, Police Scotland, Church Groups, Local Councillors, Doctors, Schools, and welfare support workers.

KLSB follow the Dignity: Ending Hunger Together in Scotland report which is an independent report carried out in June 2016. The report highlights the need to give people a choice when they visit a foodbank. we also working in partnership with the Rotary Club of Larbert where we are able to offer brand new or very good quality children's clothing, boots, shoes and jackets. All bundles will be washed, pressed and ready for use. There is no need for a referral or a voucher, simply click on the image and complete our very simple form.

In 2021 we asked our local community and businesses to help us raise funds to install a much needed AED (defibrillator) in our town centre. We hoped to raise over £700.00 which would have helped our cause, however we eventually raised over £6000.00, which allowed us to install 5 units thorough our community. We work in partnership with the team at Forth Valley First Responders who maintain the units on our behalf and who also provide CPR training to local residents and businesses.
