About the pantry.

The KLSB pantry was set up in late 2019 to enable the community of Stenhousemuir and Larbert, as well as the outlying areas a place to come and have a store that supports and accommodates those living close to or below the breadline.  We are non judgemental and everyone is entitled to join without the need for a referral. We are however limited to the members that we have and anyone that joins whilst the membership is full will be placed on our waiting list.

What can a member expect?

Our members are able to come along and pick their own groceries whilst having a chat with our staff who are always on hand. The groceries that a member can choose from varies every week but will quite often include fresh  bread, cakes, milk & eggs, as well as frozen meals, pizza, pies and meats. We also have plenty of personal hygiene products and household items. Add tinned and ambient items into the mix and we have a well stocked shop that is second to none.

How much does it cost?

We charge each member a set fee of £2.50 per visit. we are a non-profit group and all  fees that come in are used to restock the pantry. The fee entitles the members to come along and use the pantry once per week.

Can I use the pantry for a short while?

Absolutely.  We have been set up to enable anyone who has a financial difficulty during a month to come along for a short term only, these issues might be an unexpected bill from a broken down car to a burnt out washing machine. Spaces are available to anyone who simply need a short term hand.

I was a previous member, can I join again?

Yes of course you can, contact us for more information on re-joining the pantry.
